The Malossi 172cc offers a significant increase in power increases, but also significantly increases torque. The Malossi is considered very reliable, but like any air-cooled two-stroke engine, it is susceptible to too lean a mixture. We recommend the use of the 23 mm Polini CP carburetor set already tuned for this type of cylinder. Always properly set the nozzle and fine tuning of your carburetor kit especially if you use a power filter or race exhaust.
